Mercury Computer Systems would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who participated and presented in the 2008 BEIMS International User Group Meeting and for making it the success that it was.

The feedback we have received so far has been overwhelmingly positive with respondents gaining valuable information and insights that will enable them to improve the maintenance operations at their organisations.

At Mercury, we understand that your success is our success and this year we presented a variety of awards to sites that have demonstrated excellence in their use of BEIMS and provided a significant contribution towards the ongoing development of the software.

Alice Springs Hospital - Special Site Recognition Award

Crown Casino - Innovation Award

Calvary Health Care Tasmania - Excellence Award

There were many highlights from the week and some of these included:

  • Site visits to Royal Children’s Hospital and RMIT University.
  • 12 options for hands on training on Monday and Tuesday. Sessions ranged from from Crystal Reporting, ContractorWeb and Trades Training to pocketBEIMS, BEIMSWeb and Essential Services sessions offering delegates a practical opportunity to improve their BEIMS skills.
  • Presentations by Guest speakers and Mercury staff on Wednesday. Mercury presentations included a development report by Managing Director, Garry Busowsky documenting innovative new BEIMS functionality and features that will be available in the BEIMS 5.7 release this year. Trevor Beswick and Phil Carlile also gave a valuable presentation explaining Standard Group Coding Structures.
  • Guest speaker presentations commenced with Bendigo Health Care Group showing us how they have utilised pocketBEIMS to create a paperless environment. Churches of Christ Homes and Community Services Incorporated provided insight into their perspective as a new client in the Aged Care sector. Spotless Services NZ (Ltd) offered insights from the perspective of a service provider. Charles Sturt University described how BEIMS has developed and utilised throughout the University.
  • Sumptuous seafood buffet  and awards at Mesh restaurant at Crown Promenade Hotel.
  • Workshops on Thursday and Friday ranged from the award winning Building Condition Assessment software through to the recently released Work Order Automation Agent.
